Woman claims she was assaulted and robbed near Cal Anderson Park

A woman told police she was hit in the back of the head and robbed last week as she walked near Capitol Hill’s Cal Anderson Park.According to a police report, the woman called police just before 11:30 p.m. last Thursday claiming someone assaulted and robbed her as she walked from a bar to her parked car near 10th Avenue and East Pine Street.She told police her memory of the incident was hazy, but that she did remember being hit in the head with a solid object and being knocked unconscious. She said moments later she woke up and discovered her keys, wallet and cash were missing.The investigating officer realized immediately that the woman was drunk, and when he examined her head for injuries he didn’t find anything consistent with being hit with a hard object.
