Police: Ranting, raving man harasses Ballard eaters

A ranting and raving man interrupted more than a few dinners last week in Ballard after harassing a man carrying takeout before stepping into a restaurant to intimidate the diners there, according to the Seattle Police Department.
According to the police report for the incident, the victim picked up his food around 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28 from a restaurant in the 5300 block of 15th Avenue Northwest. While walking home, he saw a man in a nearby parking lot yelling at a lot of people.
The victim told police the man from the parking lot walked up to him at the corner of Northwest 53rd Street and 15th Avenue Northwest, yelling, ranting and demanding his food.
When the victim said no and tried to keep walking, the man grabbed his coat and spit in his face, according to police. To escape, the victim ducked into the restaurant on the corner.
