No good deed goes unpunished on Capitol Hill

A pair of Capitol Hill residents thought they were looking out for their drunk friend when they refused to give him his car keys this weekend, but that good deed backfired when the inebriated man become irate and allegedly slashed his friend’s face with a knife.Police learned of an assault at an apartment in the 1700 block of Bellevue Avenue at 2:45 a.m. on Sunday.When officers arrived on scene, they found a man in his 20s standing in the hallway outside the apartment where the attack occurred. An officer said the man “appeared intoxicated and I had trouble understanding him as he spoke.”The officers quickly found the two victims, who confirmed that the man in the hallway was the attacker.The victims told police all three had been out drinking earlier that night.
